Baroque
The very first crystal chandeliers were constructed under the artistic
era of the baroque, under the first half of the 18th century.
At this time everything should be dramatized and romanticized. Buildings
and interiors were pompous and flaunting. The lines were soft and
swelling.
The baroque chandeliers generally contain a great amount of glass
and are decorated with prisms such as almonds, pendeloques, flowers
and stars. At the bottom there is a cut ball of glass.
